Depends on the clear coat really. Look at how "scratch" resistant a car is going 100 km/h on the highway, exposed to all sorts of elements and debris and then tell me the expose aluminum on a Macbook would fare as well.
Clear coat is surprisingly resistant.
hmmm never thought of it that way...I still disagree because while my car doesn't get scratches that often from driving, driving and small impacts from stones is very different than getting rubbed on a desk in a bag with keys, etc etc. I would not put a small, painted car part in my bag or on my desk without some sort of protection. Would you? Do you know a lot about clear coats? I'd like to hear more (being serious)

What exactly is so "elegant" about requiring the disassemble of half the computer just to change out the GPU?
It's not meant to be user serviceable. It's sold as an "appliance". In order to achieve the slim profile and silent performance, the jigsaw construction is very similar to a laptop.
That said, the replaceable GPU is intriguing. The worrying bit is:
Making the LCD and glass spotless when reassembling the machine is nearly impossible.
I wonder if ThunderBolt is fast enough to allow an external GPU that exceeds the performance of the 6970m? Bus to external GPU. GPU to display via Target Display Mode.

Fantastic! I really do hope so, but then again, a KR site? "lul" much? What do Korean's know that the rest of the world don't?
EDIT: Okay fair enough on what the Korean's know, that the rest of the world don't!

Haha and everyone thought it would be some kind of big April Fools joke by Game Informer.
The problem that I now see with three different SKUs is the fact that ONLY the top model has HDMI. They should have included HDMI in all the newer models. But, I guess I can understand why Microsoft made that decision. It's so that they won't piss off current customers that previously bought a 360. They would have to go the Elite model to get HDMI. Oh well, still very glad I waited. Now some of the triple A titles have dropped in price. :D

So strange... so this school has an unprotected wireless network? No password, no encryption? If they setup proper protection only those allowed to use the network would be able to. Then you or anyone else could bring their laptop to school to take notes.
At the high school my daughter went to. They encouraged the students to all buy ibooks (2002). If you couldn't afford one, the school loaned you one. These were used in almost all classes and used to do research and writing assignments.

+1 for Liquid Metal. I was butt-hurt when I saw this and this:

I love this Mockup! Hopefully we can get something like this with the 2012 Macbook pros.
& I agree on liquid metal rather than carbon fiber.

But I finally figured out how Apple gets you to keep updating... they always promise a battery fix along with the other crap you really don't care about. By now I should be running for 30 days on a single charge.
Lol, no joke.

Just because I don't want my country (nor any other country except Belgium) to be ruled from Brussels?!
Perhaps you could describe how your country is being detrimentally ruled by Brussels. What are they doing to your country that you find so harmful?

Apple has taught me to never expect little, so my money is on somthing so outrageous no analyst will think of it.

I haven't tried so can't verify, but read a comment somewhere earlier that said that SD streamed fine on a Core Duo, just not HD.
Mine says no Live streaming without C2D... So that sucks... (I just updated EyeTV and luckily haven't spent my money on the App.)

While we noted earlier today (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/26/preparations-for-white-iphone-4-launch-continue/) that preparations are moving full speed ahead for a debut of the white iPhone 4 within the next day or two and shipments making their way to retail stores, some retailers have jumped the gun and begun selling units to customers. Once such case popped up (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/22/white-iphone-4-sold-by-vodafone-uk/) late last week in the UK through Vodafone, although the carrier apparently quickly clamped down on the rogue sale. But with more shipments now on location at retail stores, the premature sales are likely to occur with greater frequency.

Previous rumors from the rumor site claimed collaborative features (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/06/20060609041938.shtml), and virtualization support (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/03/20060324092148.shtml).
MacOSXRumors claims a lot of rumors, don't they? It's already been debunked that Apple will be supporting virtualization.
With just a few days away until WWDC, we're grabbing at straws! :p
