Oooh.... dangerous territory. I wouldn't call engineer 'types' uncreative. Very unwise..
Yes FuzzMunky that was unwise of me and i stand appropriately corrected. There are so many creative engineers and in fact one might argue that enginnering itself is a creative act. I will not say that again -:o

I think it's actually very nice to see that AT&T finally realized that the only way to compete with evolving competitors is to... well, evolve.
This is a great step forwards, and I have to say that AT&T has renewed my respect for them, as little as that is worth, seeing as I don't even live in the states :p

Looks like it has been a good update. It is cool seeing those pictures inside, all that work inches away from you but you never see any of it.

I more mean that you can pick and chose with Move. For example, I already have a PlayStation Eye from years ago (and so do a fair few people), so if I were to invest in Move I'd simply need a controller to do the basics, and a navigator if I want to pimp it.
The system scales, based on what you already have, and what you want to have. Whereas Kinect is 129, no matter what you own (Move for me would cost less than 70). I do agree however that Move is damn expensive if you need all the components and want 2 players...but then is there really any game worth that outlay right now? I do see Move as having the advantage of buttons though.
I've had a go on Move, and although the controllers were obviously plastic, they felt no more so than every other game controller (DualShock, Wii Remote, 360 controller) under the sun. Kinect's technology is pretty impressive, I will totally admit.
As we both agree, it does simply come down to the games. Killzone 3 may be the make or break of Move, as from what I've seen it'll be the first AAA title from Sony with Move support. Not sure what Microsoft's answer to that will be?
[EDIT: http://kotaku.com/5688040/report-kinect-only-cost-56-to-make
Seriously, $56 to make, selling at $149? Microsoft should have cut it to $99, still made a huge profit, and actually avoided the massive criticism of price. Totally insane]
I agree I mean look at the Move you can get everything you need for $99 and the same price and extra controller. Its just MS typical Nickle and dime scheme.

However, the USA has one gigantic advantage that other countries don't have: an unprecedented ground transportation infrastructure to move goods around on both rail and paved roads.
I guess you don't live in the USA. Every thing is failing apart and the roads are WAY OVER neglected! Don't even get me started on rail systems!

I'm not 100% sure of the retail cost because I have an employee discount applied to mine. I think it is about 14 dollars a month.
I just spoke with BB Mobile and they said it was 14.99 a month for the Protection Plan. It covers everything except loss, theft, and water submersion.

Storing my files so that apple can dictate what I can or can't have on their servers? Companies essentially owning my content?
Yeah I think I'll pass.
Cloud based services are anti-technology, with garbage like this companies have no incentive to increase capacities on storage devices and all content would be under a corporation's server who's sole basis is to make money while holding your data hostage.
Apple specifically is one of the most unethical companies out there.

anyone know where a list of known leopard issues can be found?
They are included in the seed notes. If you have legal access to the seeds you will have access to the issues. This list is covered by an NDA so should not be publicly discussed or posted.

One can always hope. But when has this ever NOT been true for a Microsoft operating system? Windows 95 ran poorly on computers released when 3.1 was out. Windows XP had compatibility issues with many Win 98 boxes. Etc, etc. This has always been true for them. The only difference now is how long XP has been out without being significantly updated.
Agreed.... but I think to most (at the time) the Mac OS wasn't even considered. Macs were "toys" only used by "artsy" folk
The general view of the Mac has changed alot in ten years.

Here here. They are even encoding HD 16x9 TV Shows in 4x3 - unbelieveable. For last year being the year of HD, the iTunes Store Video Encode Department apparently didn't get the memo.
Until they come out with an iPod with a widescreen display I don't see the point. The display on the current iPod is small enough as it is. Unless they address this I can't see downloading any videos.

Dude we're talking about 5-8year old PowerMacs. @ the guy that's saying that they had an 11% repair rate... DUDE. You WILL have to fix something in a machine that old eventually. My QS went into the shop more times than I care to admit, but I ran it into the ground and at 7 years old somebody stole the darn thing -_-
The G5 I'm using right now is 7 years old, the memory controller was running alarmingly hot, but I yanked the backside fan and stuck a regular antec fan in its place and the temps are back to semi-normal now.
Don't expect a 7 year old machine to not have problems, but if you have backups to fall back on you'll probably be ok.

So you could theoretically build and conceal tracking stations all over the place and thus monitor these short-range transmissions. Wouldn't it be simpler just to hide cameras all over?
That's it, I've had enough crazy talk for one night!:p

I swear to God, I hope iDVD isn't gone completely but more integrated into iMovie or something along those lines. iDVD is one of my favorite applications in the iLife suite.
The 64-bit rewrite thing is pretty awesome though. Hopefully iTunes will be a part of that (doubt it though).

Yep.
I got it from there too!
What a gr8 site that is! :)
I am downloading every single movie off it. I had many myself, but this will make my Apple movie collection nice and complete.
Superb job building that site, guys!
Many, many, many tnx!
EDIT:
BTW.... how was that movie made? Using a screen-capture-movie tool? Or was the entire cache of the stream somehow captured..?

You know nothing of this country and yet you keep posting your ridiculous views on what happens here.
I think I possess the necessary knowledge about the USA in order to qualify for writing in this thread.
Perhaps you could describe how your country is being detrimentally ruled by Brussels. What are they doing to your country that you find so harmful?
They give the big corporations influence on how my country is to be governed. Like in a plutocracy. The last thing they did to my country was imposing a Data Retention Directive on us. Albeit not totally equivalent to the Patriot Act, it opens up for surveillance of private internet and telephone communication. Not only by the police and the government, but also private organisations. Poland experiences more surveillance now than they did under communism 20 years ago, btw. The people's rights to privacy (which is an essential part of their right to freedom) has been sold for 30 pieces of silver.
Oh, and I forgot about the excuse they have made for the directive. The reason is the danger of serious crime and terrorism, which necessarily will be the result of their own sloppy border-control and ditto policies related to immigration (esp illegal imm.). Anyone who has opposed the way illegal immigrants are being handled, has been labeled "racist".
