In any case, do you think that we should all automatically back down when threatened?
If I'm threatened with a dried rose petal I probably wouldn't back down.
If I'm threatened with a car, or a gun, I'd probably back right down. Without hesitation.
If something is dangerous, it's not a good idea to challenge it.

To be honest, that's a ridiculous title for a biography, let alone's Steve Jobs's biography.
I wish they change it.

Like Chevy, Nissan is a byword for ugly. But the Juke's ugliness doesn't make the Volt less ugly than it is, it just makes it less ugly than the Juke. But then I'm less ugly than the Juke, so what of it?
One does have to remember though, styling is subjective. You may find the Volt to be ugly, but I like it's design. Sure it isn't the best design out there, but considering the Prius, Insight, and other dedicated hybrid/electric models that I can think of( where manufactures design it to be aerodynamic and not stylish per se), I think it is one the best looking of the bunch( easily beats Prius, Insight, etc, but Tesla and Fisker make decent looking vehicles as well).

Wait so, how are we supposed to report No Coverage in an area with, well, no coverage?
lets see it stores it or wifi? or if you experiencing cellular not data it will still work?

Purpoted leaked Leopard images/info at PowerPage:

I'm inclined to believe they're real, and I like them :) Expos for Safari tabs? It's like they read my mind. I hope they're real come Monday.
A lot of the features/upgrades mentioned seem pretty good. Here's hoping some of this is right.

I've grown to dislike reading magazines on the iPad for several reasons.
1. PPI of iPad too low
2. Appification of magazines (why have an app for each?)
3. Not passing along the cost savings saved in printing/shipping to us.
All I want is a subscription that cost less than the Amazon.com price, uses a common app (e.g. like Zinio) and a screen whose PPI is near the DPI of magazines.
#3 they took the printing costs and turned them into costs for web developers to code each issue along with paying apple

I'm married. I don't agree with what he did, but I understand...
Sam Kinison once said something along this line, too:
"I don't support violence against women, but I understand what turns Mr. Hand into Mr. Fist."

How do people like this app/hardware versus the slingbox?
I have two Slingboxes and bought an EyeTV 250 this evening to see how all this stacks against Sling and Orb. As I suspected, it's a lot more like Orb than Sling, the main reason being that it requires a computer, fairly intensive software running on that computer and your own IR solution if you intend to use a set top box. It does have a sweet HD picture tho. Unfortunately, the first thing I ran into was ancient software on the CD that required a kludge workaround to get the latest downloaded and installed. Once that was done, it told me that my router is incompatible. Frankly, I think it sucks to be EyeTV, that router has worked fine with Orb and Slingboxes for years. I guess I have two weeks to either get it working or back it goes.

My only complaint is the slowness of Outlook syncing with Exchange 2010. There's at least 20 seconds delay when getting email on my iOS device before Outlook 2011 opens it. Outlook 2010 is instant.
I am not a heavy user of Office products.
This is annoying for me as well. But I believe it's due to the way that Outlook 2011 has to connect. Outlook 2010 uses MAPI whereas Outlook 2011 uses EWS. I'm guessing EWS doesn't support push, or is limited to only checking once a minute.

You don't need location services (tracking) turned on to use GPS functions. ;)
Somehow I knew someone would say that. I nearly edited my post when I realized it was incomplete, but I guess I'll put it here:
You need location services for many, many "cool" features of any smartphone. Finding restaurants, gas stations, etc. through countless apps. Not to mention all the social networking crap the kids are doing these days.
Not to mention finding yourself on the map.

I suppose the "True Video" iPod will be released at a special event along side the iPhone and PowerBook G5? :p
(Well, two out of the three would be nice.)
why is it still funny to sarcastically imply that the Powerbook G5 will be here "next tuesday". It's not so clever anymore and it doesn't really pertain to anything. so please guys, can we poke fun at apple's track record in a new and exciting way?
Speaking of the Ipod: I honestly don't think apple would have dropped the prices of the current 5.5's without providing a top end product (i.e. Video Ipod) before the end of the year. As it stands, the current 5.5 is only 50 bucks more than the overpriced nano. That's not much product differentiation at all and it hints that the current Ipod won't be top tier much longer.
peace

I'm hoping the press confrence is to tell us that Steve's been fired!
The guy has screwed up big time....but of course (some of) you guys wont agree because you would happily lick his boots!
The guy needs to be removed - he's done.
Wait wait wait a minute, you want this guy to the thing that puts food on his table for his family just over a product flaw which didn't affect that many people, yet was hyped by the media? (Well, hat's what I've read, I've seen numerous people say their iPhone 4 is perfectly fine minus the usual AT&T crap).
Onto the main thing, I'm just looking forward to the Press Conference in 5 or so hours. It's funny that no-one seems to really know what'll happen.

Went and checked out the horseshoe lounge today. Those things are oh so sexy but were packed as hell.
Yeah, I didn't expect that we'd be able to all sit down there. But I don't remember there being many 'uncrowded' places in years past... so I guess we'll be stuck standing and mingling.

Thats totally bogus.
If they thought you having a laptop around school is a threat to a network and took it away from you, it is a pre-emptive "attack" in order to make their network safe, but according to law, you can't do something pre emptive UNLESS it was told by the rules at your school when the school started that laptops were not allowed at all.
If you knew that, you should go ask nicely :P

The microsoft marketing guy says that the parts will be the same except for the bigger hd and hdmi output... So I guess that means it will still be as noisy and likely to break as the current models.
And that means I'm keeping my x360 pro.
